About us:
Welcome to Chakhei online site. Finally Chakhei site with top level domain was
launched on July 7, 2005.
Chakhei is a small town in Siaha District of
Southern part of Mizoram. It lies in Indo-Myanmar border. The town is embedded
in the east side of Mt.Mawma, the fifth highest mountain in Mizoram. It is only
two kilometers from the town to the top of the mountain. Thus the town overlooks
River Kaladan, the biggest river in Mizoram that separates India and
Myanmar.
The town can be reached by Tata Sumo and other four wheelers from
Siaha, the capital of Saiha District and Mara Autonomous District Council, which
distance is about 75kms. Truckable road is under-construction and has been
be completed by year 2005 end.

Chakhei site was first launched in 2003 using free sub-domain
from freeservers dot com. The current top level domain was registered on Jul 6,
2005 using the small contribution made by Chakhei students in
Bangalore.
